PTI Punjab leaders accompany Tareen to court
Estranged PTI leader says those with nefarious designs will soon be unveiled
LAHORE:
Leaders belonging to the ruling PTI in Punjab including MPAs on Wednesday accompanied estranged party leader Jahangir Tareen to a banking court where he sought an extension in the pre-arrest bail granted to him and his son in the fraud cases filed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against them last month.
They included Raja Riaz, Lala Tahir Randhawa, Salman Naeem, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Khurram Leghari, Abdul Hai Dasti and provincial minister Noman Langrial.
The court adjourned the hearing till April 10 for further arguments in the case. The next date was fixed as the banking court judge was unavailable during the hearing.

In a show of support, Punjab lawmakers from the ruling PTI accompanied sugar baron Jahangir Tareen to court on Wednesday where he and his son had to appear for an extension in their interim bail in cases filed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Lala Tahir Randhawa, Raja Riaz, Noman Langrial, Salman Naeem, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Khurram Leghari and Abdul Hai Dasti showed up to support Tareen at his hearing.
Speaking to the media, PTI MNA Raja Riaz said that PM Imran would not have been successful in winning the vote of confidence from parliament in March without Tareen.

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not resign and the government will complete its term.
The opposition is trying unsuccessfully to put pressure on the government with long marches and threat of resignations, said Sarwar. “Fulfilling the five-year constitutional term is our constitutional and democratic right which we will not back down from,’’ he added. He was talking to a delegation led by members of PTI Punjab Mian Faisal Hayat, Abdul Hai Dasti and Rafaqat Ali at Governor’s House Lahore.
