ISLAMABAD: An accountability court, in the Kidney Hills reference, on Friday decided to indict Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla, ex-MD of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Aijaz Haroon and others on March 16. The accountability court in Islamabad was hearing a corruption reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the illegal allotment of government land for plots in the Overseas Cooperative Housing Society, Kidney Hills, Karachi.
Saleem Mandviwalla appeared in the hearing being conducted by the accountability court’s judge Muhammad Bashir.
The NAB prosecutor requested the court to allow them to file an interim reference in the case. The judge questioned, “You have asked for filing the supplementary reference much earlier.” The prosecutor said that the bureau wants to begin the trial under the interim reference at this time. An accountability court in Islamabad has decided to indict Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwala, former PIA managing director Ijaz Haroon and others nominated in the Kidney Hills reference,
which is a part of the fake accounts case.
NAB has accused Mandviwala of colluding with former PIA MD and selling a Kidney Hill plot to Abdul Ghani Majeed and the Omni Group. They reportedly received Rs144 million for this transaction through fake accounts.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Accountability court on Friday has decided to indict Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla and other accused in kidney hill reference on March 16.
During the hearing, judge Muhammad Bashir asked about the registration of supplementary reference by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) representative over which, the anti-graft watchdog requested the court to carry on proceedings on this reference.
The deputy chairman has denied the allegation of benami transactions and said that the money trail of every deal is available.

ISLAMABAD: Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla appeared before the accountability court of Islamabad on Thursday in connection with a plot allotment reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against him.
Accountability judge Mohammad Bashir asked the prosecution of NAB to distribute copies of the reference among the accused persons and adjourned proceeding till Feb 18.
Talking to the media, Mr Mandviwalla said the reference against him was based on a private transaction between two private parties. He said none of the party was a complainant but NAB filed the reference.
