Mission RCMP’s serious crimes unit is asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact police or Crimestoppers.

Sweet played 14 years in the Canadian Football League, mostly with the Montreal Alouettes/Concordes, and won two Grey Cup championships, in 1974 and 1977. The Vancouver-born place kicker was named top Canadian in the Grey Cup on three occasions.

A former teacher in Mission, B.C., is facing seven charges after two women reported being assaulted and sexually assaulted more than a decade ago.
Donald Alan Sweet is charged with four counts of sexual interference, two counts of sexual assault and one count of assault, Mission RCMP said in a statement Saturday.
