VANCOUVER A person has died in Abbotsford after being hit by three vehicles early Sunday morning. Emergency medical responders attended the scene at Highway 1 near the Abbotsford and Langley city border around 4:15 a.m., say Abbotsford Police. “Upon arrival, emergency service workers located a man in the east-bound lanes who had been struck by three vehicles,” reads a news statement from Cst. Jody Thomas. “The man had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased,” it continues. Police say they have not yet identified the man but the drivers involved in the collision remained on scene and are cooperating. “The drivers did not sustain any injuries and are very shaken by this incident,” reads the statement.

The Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team, police investigators and the B.C. Coroners Service continue their investigation this morning.

A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning after a collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 at the Abbotsford and Langley border.
Abbotsford Police said Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a call at around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, and found a man who had been struck by three vehicles.
BC masseuse arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting 3 clients
A masseuse in Abbotsford has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting three women while providing massage treatment.
According to the Abbotsford Police Department, 56-year-old Reinhard ‘Bud’ Loewen was recently identified and arrested by detectives from the major crime unit.
He’s since been released from custody on conditions with charges of sexual assault being approved by the BC Prosecution Service.
Loewen provided treatments out of Bud’s Massage Therapy, where all of the incidents are alleged to have taken place.
“Major Crime Detectives believe there may be witnesses with information about the activities of the accused that may assist in the prosecution of these offences,” said Sgt. Adam Klaver.
