Redmi 7 has begun to receive Android 10 update in India

Gizmochina Redmi 7 was one of the best-selling smartphones of its time. The handset debuted with MIUI 10 based on Android Pie in early 2019. It was later updated to MIUI 11 worldwide. Last week, the global variant of this device started receiving the long-awaited Android 10 update. Now, this update is live in India as well. The Android 10 update for Redmi 7 in India comes with build number V11.0.3.0.QFLINXM. Apart from bringing last year’s Android, the new software build also bumps up the security patch level to December 2020. Currently, the update is in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase. Hence, it is only available to select users. We expect the company to extend the availability of the update to more users if there’s no major issue with the build.
