N.L. health care workers heading to Ontario tomorrow to help with COVID-19 response
Nine health care workers from Newfoundland and Labrador will head to Ontario tomorrow morning to help with the dire Covid-19 situation.
The first of two groups will head off for at least ten days. NTV’s Kelly-Anne Roberts has more.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel, finally, for some COVID-19 long haulers.
Many have said those symptoms that they ve struggled with for months are completely gone after their second vaccine shot.
Like many things with COVID-19 and these long-hauler cases, there are still many things doctors don t know yet.
But whether they have answers or not patients like Anne Roberts are just glad to be experiencing some relief.
The Canadian Medical Association is calling for a national approach to combatting COVID-19, including reprioritizing vaccine deliveries to focus on hotspots rather than per capita distribution among the provinces. But Premier Andrew Furey says the per capita model should continue. NTV’s Kelly-Anne Roberts reports.
Province eases formal gathering limits and increases testing for essential workers
COVID restrictions are loosening in Newfoundland and Labrador. The province is introducing entry testing for essential workers and expanding vaccination appointments for people over the age of 65. But the limit on formal gatherings is also increasing to 100 people. NTV’s Kelly-Anne Roberts reports.
