ESCANABA Willard J. Borman, 90, of Escanaba, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021 at his home.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery. A complete obituary will be forthcoming.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Borman family.

The Guale Indians were in this part of the world as recently as the 1600s, and the Spanish and English and Africans followed. There were rice plantations and slavery, and a bloody war that ultimately spelled the end of both.
