With six games remaining in the regular season, the time is now for the Wild to make its move if it hopes to win the West Division.
Following a come-from-behind 4-3 win in overtime against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night, the Wild was able to keep pace with the first-place Vegas Golden Knights, who come to St. Paul for the first of two games on Monday at Xcel Energy Center.
Minnesota trails Vegas by six points with six to play, and the Wild s best opportunity to gain ground will come with the head-to-head matchups with the Knights on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Daily Wire: Leftists rushed to celebrate Acosta’s use of the word, “bull ,” with Mediaite writing that Acosta “pwned” Fox News.
“Reporter and now CNN show host Jim Acosta totally pwned Fox News Channel on Saturday when he said ‘bull ’ twice during a segment on disinformation and conspiracy theories,” Mediaite reported, adding that Acosta “also got in a sick burn on Tucker Carlson, whom he referred to as ‘Fox News’s Doctor of Disinformation.’”
While Acosta’s level of self-regard is almost legendary, critics will note that his comments are not without irony. As Fox News reported in July 2020, “CNN’s chief anti-Trump reporter Jim Acosta was blasted on social media over a tweet that quoted White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany out of context.”
it really went away. Minnesota lost five straight, won once, then lost four-in-a-row.
Even in a shortened season, avoiding a three-game skid is no easy task. This year, the Wild are one of just three teams in the NHL to boast such a statistic. Playoff-bound Pittsburgh and Boston are the others, and like the Wild, each of those teams is coming off a victory in its most recent outing. We definitely didn t want to lose three in a row. The great teams don t do that, said Wild forward Nick Bonino. We talked about that before the game and I think over the course of this week, we had some really good periods in both of our losses. And I think tonight we played three pretty solid periods.
An alleged interview with Sasquatch, a 'crab humanoid' caught on film, and a UFO landing case wherein a chupacabra seemingly exited the craft were among the strange and unusual stories that captured our attention this past week.

Minnesota will look to bounce back on Thursday night when it faces the St. Louis Blues for the second consecutive night.
The Wild suffered a 4-3 defeat to the Blues on Wednesday night after holding a two-goal lead heading into the third period, snapping the Wild s seven-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Minnesota has been outstanding on home ice this season, and are 16-2-0 in its last 18 games at Xcel Energy Center, outscoring opponents 63-32 since Jan. 31.
Minnesota sits in third place in the West Division with 65 points, trailing the second place Colorado Avalanche by one point.
