FBI: Man Faces Charges In Violent Albuquerque Carjacking FBI News: ALBUQUERQUE A federal judge Thursday ordered that Gael Antonio Rodriguez, 18, of Mexico, will remain detained pending trial for carjacking. According to a criminal complaint, Rodriguez allegedly approached an elderly victim Jan. 16 in northwest Albuquerque outside her apartment complex and asked her for a cigarette. The victim responded that she had no cigarettes and Rodriguez then allegedly demanded her purse and the keys for her vehicle. When the victim resisted, Rodriguez allegedly slashed her hand with a knife, causing her to drop the keys. Rodriguez allegedly grabbed the keys and fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Almost immediately, the news was met with outrage. In her announcement videos posted to Instagram, Jenner sips tequila on ice from a highball glass, to the chagrin of tequila aficionados worldwide but that s not the worst of it.  A Diet Prada post about the launch called attention to concerns Mexican and Latinx people have about Jenner s product, including charges of cultural appropriation, and fears that workers who harvest agave and make the tequila might be exploited. There is also some concern that a celebrity tequila trend is causing real harm to the agave-producing region of Mexico.
