Rockingham County Emergency Services personnel and Swift Water Rescue Teams found and recovered Villano s body from the Dan River near the Draper Boat Landing.Her rescue comes weeks after four other members of Villano s family were found dead as a result of the accident. The body of a fifth missing tuber has been found in a North Carolina river following a deadly accident in which a family on a recreational float went over a dam, local officials said Monday.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that during recovery efforts for missing tuber Teresa Villano, 35, authorities found her body at around 4 p.m. near the Draper Boat Landing in the Dan River.
The body of a fourth tuber, 7-year-old Isiah Crawford, had been found June 20, following several days of search and recovery efforts, officials said.
