News Highlights: Five Things You Should Know About Persona 5 Strikers
Persona 5 Strikers is a direct narrative sequel to Atlus’ Persona 5, even though it’s a hack-and-slash game developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force. This setup is probably familiar to Nintendo fans as we’ve had games like Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. In that sense, it can best be described as the opposite of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Persona 5 Strikers takes place six months after the events of the first game, and while it may be confusing for those who haven’t played Persona 5 yet, there’s still plenty to rave about. If you’re looking for a stylish romp through hordes of enemies, you might be able to have some fun no matter what your previous series experience. But to get you started, let’s take a closer look at five things you should know about Persona 5 Strikers.

The long wait for Persona 5 Strikers is nearly over, and with over a full year between its Japanese and English release dates, fans have built up a lot of expectations for the first ever canonical sequel to Persona 5. That’s not the only milestone this game is reaching though; it’s also the first Persona game to be released on Switch. Naturally this raises a lot of questions, both about what Persona fans should expect from the story and also about what Switch players should expect from the performance. We’ve had the opportunity to play the first major story arc of the game, and thankfully a lot of those questions have been answered, and I’m looking forward to playing the rest of Strikers more than ever before.
