PA pot proponents: legalization inevitable, not yet imminent

As state Sens. Dan Laughlin and Sharif Street introduced the commonwealth s first bipartisan bill to legalize recreational marijuana Wednesday, Laughlin, the Erie County Republican, admitted that his position on the issue had changed 180 degrees since taking office in 2017.  The final straw was a conversation that I had with one of my kids, said Laughlin, of Millcreek Township, R-49th Dist., the first Republican in the General Assembly to cosponsor a marijuana legalization bill. He told me that he could have a bag of weed delivered to the house in under an hour and that s better service than Amazon. And I realized that anyone in Pennsylvania that wants to smoke marijuana is probably already doing it. So we might as well take this and regulate it. That, I think, is the most responsible thing that we can do.

Moxie Trailer: Amy Poehler Directs A Teenage Feminist Revolution For Netflix

All Together Now and Work It, and plenty more. It’s a smart move, considering this generation of teenagers has quite literally grown up with Netflix. The streaming service’s latest teen flick comes from Amy Poehler, who both stars in and directs Moxie – the story of a feminist revolution on an American high school campus that looks like a total blast. Ahead of its arrival in March, Netflix has shared the first trailer, which promises a punky upbeat campus comedy with a riotous streak. Looks fun, right? Moxie stars Hadley Robinson as Vivian, a 16-year-old who decides to take after her rebellious mum (Poehler) and publish a feminist zine called Moxie, hitting back at the toxic culture and double-standards that are rife in her school – which sparks others into action too. Other familiar faces here include Ike Barinholtz, Marcia Gay Harden and Clark Gregg, while the younger cast also includes Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Josephine Langford (younger sister of Katherine Lang
