Player Overview
Granson broke his leg his senior year of high school, and was very lightly recruited as a result. He received his only FBS offer from Rice, and played in 8 games there as a true freshman at wide reciever. He played in 10 games as a sophomore and transferred out of Rice’s program - without a plan for the future - after his head coach was fired. He considered trying to walk on at the University of Texas, and ended up at SMU on the recommendation of his former coach, David Bailiff, to the Mustangs head coach, Sonny Dykes. Coincidentally, Granson had been offered an academic (though not athletic) scholarship to SMU out of high school.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Head Coach Sam Pittman has added two coaches to the Razorbacks’ staff with Cody Kennedy taking over the team’s tight ends and Jermial Ashley tabbed to lead defensive line. Michael Scherer has been promoted to lead the Hogs’ linebackers.
Kennedy joins the Razorbacks after a brief time at Southern Miss this offseason. He joined the Golden Eagles with new head coach Will Hall as the team’s run game coordinator and offensive line coach. Kennedy had spent the last two seasons at Tulane as the Green Wave’s offensive line coach, where he helped revive Tulane’s offense. The Wave’s running game ranked in the Top 20 nationally each of the last two seasons, including last year running for 217.1 yards per game to lead the American Athletic Conference. This past season two of his offensive linemen earned All-American Athletic Conference honors with Corey Dublin picking up s

Maybe.
Vital, who graduated from UConn last spring, was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Only an hour or so later, Vital was waived by the team in what could be a paper move that gets him on the Grizzlies’ G-League affiliate.
If Vital signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the team, he will get a $50,000 bonus to sign with the Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies’ G-League affiliate.
Vital, 23, was not selected in the 2020 NBA draft, despite a strong senior season at UConn in which he averaged 16.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 steasl per game and was a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection. Vital, a 6-foot-2 guard, finished 10th on UConn’s all-time scoring list with 1,735 career points. He also holds the AAC’s all-time record with 265 3-pointers.
