MORIGAON: The Morigaon District Primary Teachers Association (MDPTA) on Saturday gheraoed the District Elementary Education Office (DEEO) demanding creation of posts of primary teacher and rolling back the decision to withdraw graduate teachers grade pay.
The Primary Teachers Association (PTA) also demanded the Chief Minister to release the dearness allowance of the contractual teachers. The organization, led by president Bijoy Shing Deka and general secretary Rubul Medhi, submitted a memorandum to the State Education Minister through the DEEO, Morigaon.
