The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning band, Blues Traveler, is coming to Rochester Minnesota for a special outdoor show this summer. The jam band, best known for the mega-hits “Run-Around” and “Hook” will perform an outdoor concert in the Med-City on Friday, August 20th.

Rochester is known for its rather large population of geese, but I spotted a flock of an even more unique bird over the weekend.
I was out with our dog, Asher, for our daily walk in our neighborhood in northwest Rochester Saturday morning when I saw them. It was a flock of large birds, circling overhead. I thought they were geese which, as we know here in Rochester isn t an odd sight at all.
But these birds looked different. They looked bigger. And, they were flying around in a large circle-like motion, which isn t what I ve seen geese here in the Med City do. As it turns out, I m pretty sure it was actually a flock of pelicans that had somehow ended up here in Rochester.

Facility leaders have created a survey as an opportunity to hear more from those who live in the Rochester area.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - The first ever event at Mayo Auditorium, the original structure of what is today known as the Mayo Civic Center - was over 80 years ago in 1939.
Since then, the building has been renovated in 2017 with the addition of the Convention Center.
The downtime during the pandemic gave leaders of the facility the opportunity to reset and focus on the safety of guests.
