Anita Begnaud is the CEO of the Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Lafayette Unlimited. When she joined us on the morning show today, she says that even in 2020, there were close to twenty businesses who decided to locate in downtown Lafayette. There are now a variety of different types of businesses that have located in downtown Lafayette including a grocery store, several more restaurants, a wine shop, a record store, a book store and even a skate store. Begnaud says the downtown area truly does offer something for everyone in your entire family.

Don s Seafood building in Downtown Lafayette has new owners Downtown Development Authority and last updated 2021-01-29 12:04:36-05 The Downtown Development Authority announced Friday, January 29, that a local development team has acquired the Don s Seafood building in Downtown Lafayette. DDA says that Hub City Holdings has purchased the property and plans to redevelop it to accommodate retail, food and beverage, residential, and shared communal space. The Hub City Holidings consists of team members Ryan Pécot, Gus Rezende, BJ Crist, and John Petersen. They say their goal is to create a vibrant touchstone in the heart of the Downtown District.
