Latest member of international drug gang faces justice after huge haul of cocaine seized by police A WOMAN who stored drugs and money for an organised crime gang has been jailed for three and a half years. Melanie Bevan was involved in the conspiracy to supply cocaine across the region while she was involved in a relationship with one of the key members of an international drugs ring. The 44-year-old became embroiled in the multi-million pound network throughout 2015 when she acted as a courier for her partner Benjamin Cahill, Teesside Crown Court heard. Richard Herrmann, prosecuting, said the gang were involved in the commercial supply of high quality cocaine from South America.
