He did it!
Anthony Louis Aquaro, the super senior married to the former Gloria Polizzi the love of his life for 77 years, has officially rounded the century mark.
Born in Brooklyn on Feb. 27, 1921, the brand new centenarian had excelled in baseball, and many believe Anthony could have gone pro had he not chosen to enlist in the military.

There’s a story that says Anthony was so elated after winning a baseball game, it was only then he mustered up the courage to walk up to Gloria at a corner store and ask her for a kiss.
There are dozens of local 5-kilometer races, many raising money for good causes. So that alone doesn’t make what will happen Saturday morning stand out.
But the Ribault River 5K is a bit different, partly just because of where it will be run. The majority of Jacksonville’s road races are on the Southside, downtown or at the beaches. This one will be on the Northside, along Ribault Scenic Drive, with a turnaround not far from Restlawn Memorial Park.
