HENRICO Co., Va. (WWBT) - For decades a Henrico middle school teacher committed her life to teaching young people, now she is on her way to retirement.
Jeanie Redford is the âOGâ of Quioccasin Middle School - not the âOriginal Gangster,â but the âOriginal Griffin,â like the schoolâs mascot.
After 32 years of teaching in the Henrico School District, 29 of which was at Quioccasin, sheâs getting a COVID safe retirement party.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - For our first “Acts of Kindness” in 2021, we really wanted to maximize our $300 gift, and there was no better place to go than Feed More.
We caught up with Doug Pick, the CEO. He says the organization is seeing a 50 percent increase in the need for assistance, and those who are newly unemployed make up the majority of that number.
The organization saw a big spike in March as the pandemic really put the economy in a stranglehold. It came down steadily as federal assistance came online this summer, but now it’s spiked once again.
