After 32 years of teaching in the Henrico School District, 29 of which was at Quioccasin, she’s getting a COVID safe retirement party.

(WWBT) - For our first “Acts of Kindness” in 2021, we really wanted to maximize our $300 gift, and there was no better place to go than Feed More. We caught up with Doug Pick, the CEO. He says the organization is seeing a 50 percent increase in the need for assistance, and those who are newly unemployed make up the majority of that number. The organization saw a big spike in March as the pandemic really put the economy in a stranglehold. It came down steadily as federal assistance came online this summer, but now it’s spiked once again.
