Mumbai: Final year results will be delayed if staff is not permitted in local trains, says MU

Final year results of major Undergraduate (UG) programmes of the University of Mumbai (MU) maybe delayed if MU staff are continued to be disallowed from commuting by suburban train services, said MU on Thursday. Over 1.55 lakh students have appeared for the final year last semester examinations of arts, commerce and science UG programmes via online mode completed by 450 affiliated degree colleges by May 25.
Vinod Patil, director of Board of Examination and Evaluation of MU, told the Free Press Journal (FPJ), Our staff involved in the examination department are not allowed currently to commute by local train services, as per the lockdown restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra state government. This is causing delay in the process of formulation of results of final year students.
