According to official data, currently there are about 670 toll plazas on the entire NH network. “Transaction through FASTag is happening at all NH toll plazas. The share of toll payment transactions done through the FASTag has touched almost 85%,” said an NHAI official.
So far as the tolled roads under the state government are concerned all 19 toll plazas under the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd, 18 on the roads under Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, 17 plazas each under MP Road Development Corporation and UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority allow paying user fee through FASTag.
Similarly, 13 stretches in Gujarat, 15 under the Karnataka Road Development Corporation and 10 under the TN Road Development Company also allows toll charge payment through FASTag.

The incident took place when a truck after running over two employees of the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority, was trying to escape when it rammed into a bus.
The truckdriver died on the spot. The truck was coming from Rajasthan and was heading to Bihar.
The bus that was set forth into motion by the truck, further collided with an Innova belonging to the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority, parked nearby.
The six injured include three from the bus and the other three from the Innova.
On receiving the information, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police reached the spot.
LUCKNOW: The state government said on Sunday that it has issued guidelines for the supply of piped natural gas (PNG) to industrial development authorities with the objective of environmental conservation and providing safe fuel to industries.
The government said steps were being taken to convert major highways of the state into green energy corridors to promote the use of pollutionfree fuel in transport sector.
