CONYERS, Ga. - The Conyers Police Department said a K9 is getting some extra protection.
Officials said Tuesday a non-profit donated a bullet-proof and stab-proof vest for K9 Wick.
Wick will receive his vest in eight to 10 weeks. It will be embroidered with the phrase: Born to Love, Trained to Serve, Loyal Always.

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are investigating another catalytic converter theft, this time at an appliance store.
A Jonesboro police incident report says a police officer went to Metro Appliances, 2701 E. Parker Road, about 8:15 a.m. April 5 due to theft.
The report notes a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2019 Isuzu box truck and a 2016 Supreme Corp. box truck.
It’s believed the theft happened between 8 a.m. April 2 and 8:32 a.m. April 5.
No suspect information is available.
On March 26, police responded to First United Methodist Church on South Main Street to report a theft.

TOLEDO, Ohio Toledo Police Chief George Kral is making a push to provide ballistic shields for his officers following the death of TPD officer Brandon Stalker last week.
The effort has got the backing of the father of another officer who was killed in the line of duty last year.
No matter what the price tag is, Tony Dia, officer Anthony Dia s father, believes TPD officers need access to some type of ballistic equipment, whether it be helmets or shields.
