Hong Kong, China has contributed US$1 million toward the establishment of a new APEC sub-fund, which aims to support initiatives that strengthen member economies’ economic and legal infrastructure and advance economic development in the region. The contribution was confirmed on Friday (March 5, 2021) with the signing of an MoU between Teresa Cheng, Hong Kong, China’s secretary for justice, and Rebecca Sta Maria, executive director of the APEC Secretariat.
