Max Griffin had to take off his fan hat for 15 minutes at UFC 264 on Saturday night while earning a win over one of his idols after beating Carlos Condit by unanimous decision.
It was a strong showing from Griffin as he earned a knockdown in the first round and then continued to pour on the punishment until the final horn sounded to get the job done against a game opponent in Condit. The judges scored the fight 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 with Griffin getting the win, which is his third in a row overall.

UFC 264 is all wrapped up and what a card it was! We had backflips into mount, several awesome knockouts, tremendous plays of toughness, a sick standing guillotine, and then unfortunately a gnarly end to the main event.
Dustin Poirier took the trilogy over Conor McGregor and it only took a round. Poirier dominated McGregor on the ground and busted him up with big shots, but it was a sequence in the final seconds of the round that saw McGregor fall back after taking an awkward step and it broke something. Don’t know if it was his ankle or his leg altogether but it was nasty and the fight obviously couldn’t continue. Poirier said McGregor hurt his own ankle when Dustin checked one of the several leg kicks Conor threw. If true,

4:37pm - Crazy end to the fight. While McGregor has an out with the ankle, he was getting whopped once the fight hit the mat. Poirier was in control and landing some huge shots and now moves on to a title fight.
4:36pm - McGregor is still on the mat - doctor s looking to splint the leg. Conor talking trash from the ground and he s pretty pissed about the result. His leg is in a splint now.
