US distributor and prodco FilmRise has appointed ViacomCBS executive Jonitha Keymoore as senior director of global acquisitions.

Keymoore joins after four years as senior director for content acquisitions at ViacomCBS, and prior to that worked for Japanese company Konami as its director of distribution.
Keymoore will be responsible for developing new opportunities for international acquisitions to grow FilmRise’s distribution arm. She will report to Max Einhorn, senior VP of acquisitions.
Einhorn said: “We are thrilled to have Jonitha join the FilmRise team. Her impressive and extensive background managing important brands and acquiring for globally-known networks and streaming services will certainly allow FilmRise to continue its strategy to be the key content supplier for streamers and fuel growth for the FilmRise Streaming Network.”

FilmRise has announced a partnership with children’s content licensor Nelvana to distribute approximately 800 hours of programming to SVOD and AVOD platforms across the U.S., U.K., Ireland and Germany. Content included in the parternship include mainstream anime shows “Bakugan” and “Beyblade,” in addition to iconic children’s animated series such as “Babar,” “Braceface,” “Class of the Titans,” “Rupert,” “Tales from the Cryptkeeper,” “Donkey Kong Country,” “Rescue Heroes,” and “Franklin,” and more.
The content will be available on a wide range of AVOD platforms including IMDb TV, Tubi, Pluto, in the U.S, and in Germany and the U.K., Rakuten, Joyn and TV NOW.
