POLICE have shared details of two vehicles they have seized in Higher Folds this week.

Drugs, production equipment and stolen motorbikes seized

POLICE found drug production equipment and stolen motorbikes after they had seized cannabis in a stop and search. Officers on patrol in Higher Folds conducted a routine Misuse of Drugs Act stop search on a man they say was acting suspiciously in the area in his vehicle. On searching the vehicle a large quantity of cannabis was found. The man was arrested and two addresses were searched. Six high value motorbikes, suspected to be stolen, were recovered. Also, cannabis cultivation equipment, which would be used to cultivate cannabis on an industrial scale, was also found and seized for destruction. Abandoned dog found on Imperial Drive, Leigh

Officers received reports of an abandoned canine tied to a fence on Imperial Drive. Police say they do not know how long the animal had been left for. It has been collected by a kennels and will be checked over by a vet. A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: Leigh PCSOs have attended Imperial Drive, Higher Folds this morning to reports of an abandoned dog tied to a fence. It is unknown how long this dog has been left in the rain. The dog has been collected by Bancroft Boarding Kennels to be checked for a microchip and to be checked over by a vet.
