The Ohio Senate wants to expand a 2% personal income tax cut up to 5%, slash state dollars for rural broadband and increase the amount kids get for school vouchers as part of their two-year budget.
The Senate s version of the $75 billion budget bill is the third and final one to be introduced. Gov. Mike DeWine unveiled his plan in February, and the House released its in March.
Once the Senate passes its plan, the three groups have until June 30 to reach a compromise because Ohio s next fiscal year is set to start July 1.
