Two companies specializing in marine, RV equipment and trailers have announced plans to expand operations with new locations in Volusia County, moves that are expected to result in hundreds of new jobs, according to officials with Team Volusia Economic Development Corp.
In Edgewater, Factory Direct Marine & RV plans to open its second Florida location along U.S. Highway 1, with a projected summer opening date, according to Geof Hoffman, the company’s co-owner.
The company offers a one-stop shop for outdoor enthusiasts with products representing brands that include Coachmen, Dutchmen, Keystone, Gulf Stream and NeXus RV. The company also offers marine products ranging from entry-level pontoon boats to high-powered watercraft.
