One of Fiji’s youngest reps to the Olympic Games in Japan has taken over another responsibility to help his fellow athletes settle in for the games.
Swimmer Taichi Vakasama of Mako Swim Club, Nadi, is the male swimmer representing Fiji in the Tokyo Games.
He is of Japanese and Fijian heritage and is translating the Japanese language to contingent members.
This was revealed by his coach Marlene Vuniwaqa yesterday.
“After arriving in Oita, Japan on July 10, he is in good spirit and excited to get his training going,” Vuniwaqa said.
