Storm Bella will sweep in over Ireland on St Stephen s Day bring gales and heavy rain but the weather front will also drag snow, sleet, hail and ice in its wake, Met Éireann has warned.
Met Éireann has issued weather warnings for all counties and a weather commentary on what to expect over the Festive weekend when Bella is expected to make its presence felt. Meteorologist, Liz Walsh and Hydro-meteorologist, Stephen Carey outlined what to expect in a commentary on Christmas Eve.

100 km winds on the way for Laois and Leinster Status Yellow and Orange Met Éireann weather warnings

Laois and all of Leinster are included in Met Éireann Status Yellow and Orange weather warnings ahead of a stormy night of weather.
Status Yellow alert says it will be very windy on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. It says strong and gusty southeast winds, veering southwest will gust up to 100km/h. Due to high seas and strong onshore winds, there is the elevated risk of coastal flooding.
The yellow warning is in place for all Leinster counties and Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
