Four Arrested, Multiple Guns and Drugs Seized in Atlantic City Authorities say a two-month-long investigation into the distribution of drugs from an Atlantic City apartment building resulted in four people being arrested and multiple guns and drugs being seized. The Atlantic City Police Department says on Wednesday, members of the DEA Liberty Mid-Atlantic High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the ACPD s Special Investigations Section and SWAT Team executed simultaneous search warrants at two apartments within the Madison Hotel in the 100 south block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. According to police, detectives recovered five handguns, 34 grams of heroin, 17 grams of cocaine, 310 grams of marijuana, and $1,000 in cash.

Four Arrested, Guns and Drugs Seized Following ACPD Investigation

Detectives with the Atlantic City Police Department’s Special Investigations Section say they arrested four people and seized guns, drugs, and nearly $10,000 in cash over a two-day period. According to police, on January 12th, ACPD detectives were conducting surveillance in the 1000 block of Brigantine Boulevard in reference to complaints from area residents regarding the possession and distribution of drugs. While they were out, they stopped a vehicle which led to 19-year-old Naheem Prater of Atlantic City and 21-year-old Hameed Owens of Mays Landing being arrested. Police say Prater was found to be in possession of more than 11 grams of heroin and a loaded gun was found where he was sitting. Owens was found in possession of more than 8 grams of heroin and more than 7 grams of cocaine.

Absecon Man Arrested With Gun, Drugs in Atlantic City Cops in Atlantic City say a man from Absecon was arrested Tuesday night following a traffic stop. The Atlantic City Police Department says one of their officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at Virginia and Atlantic Avenues just before 10:00 Tuesday night. During the stop, 24-year-old Elliot Handy of Absecon was arrested. Police say Handy was in possession, of a backpack that contained a loaded handgun that included a large capacity magazine and a loaded drum magazine, and 83 grams of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, Alisia Harrigan, was released with several motor vehicle summons.
