The
Attica Group, a leading coastal shipping company in Greece, has signed an agreement with the Brødrene Aa shipyard of Norway, for the construction of
three state-of-the-art Aero Catamaran vessels that will replace three of the group’s older technology vessels that serve the Saronic islands.
Budgeted at 21 million euros, the investment will be covered by own funds and bank financing. The construction of the new vessels will begin immediately after the signing of a loan agreement. Their delivery is expected to take place within the
first four months of 2022.
Boasting an ultra-modern design and innovative features, the new vessels are expected to significantly upgrade the travel experience for over 3 million passengers that travel annually on the Attica Group’s Saronic lines.

in the
Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards 2020 which are intended to honor individuals’ and companies’ achievements from the Greek shipping community. The judging panel of the awards comprised from impartial experts of the industry representing different sectors of Greek shipping.
The announcement of the winners was made online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, on Friday, December 4, 2020 in an impressive virtual ceremony. The award was received by the CEO of Attica Group Mr. Spiros Paschalis.

In the context of the Responsibility programme of Attica Group and more specifically, the ‘Greek Communities of Italy - A voyage to culture with SUPERFAST FERRIES’ initiative, SUPERFAST FERRIES successfully completed its actions for the third consecutive year, promoting Greek language and culture in Reggio, Calabria, in southern Italy, where Greece has been constantly present for three millennia.
