Fox News‘ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” journalist Tom Rogan of the news website
Rogan made the disclosure after host Tucker Carlson asked him about a recently released UFO video featuring a dark, spherical object flying off the coast of California near a Navy stealth ship. The craft appeared to have dived into the water and disappeared, with officers speaking in the video saying, “It splashed.”
The
Department of Defense confirmed that the video was indeed taken by Navy personnel. Investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, who leaked the video online mid-May, said that no wreckage was recovered when the Navy looked for the still-unidentified craft.
Do aliens exist?
Why is the report coming now?
It s no coincidence that Congress members will get more info on UAPs this month. A detailed report from the UAP Task Force was a requirement in the $2.3 billion (€1.8 billion) spending package that Congress passed in December 2020. Within six months, the legislation stipulated, the Department of Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence would have to present detailed analysis of unidentified aerial phenomena data and intelligence.
Democrats and Republicans requesting a report about unidentified flying objects, a topic that until not too long ago was the purview of sci-fi movie fans, conspiracy theorists and alien enthusiasts, shows that the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence is a lot less absurd to high-level US officials now than it used to be.
Richard OâConnor is looking up.
Nine years ago, OâConnor founded the Jesse A. Marcel Library, a small red building off South Hills Road in Clancy, dedicated to exploring and exposing certain mysteries of the universe: unidentified flying objects (UFOs), crop circles, and alien life and lore.
He named it after his friend and medical colleague Dr. Jesse A. Marcel Jr., and Marcelâs father Maj. Jesse A. Marcel. In 1947, Maj. Marcel, then an Air Force intelligence officer, reportedly investigated the crash of an unidentified flying object in Roswell, New Mexico.
Since 2012, OâConnor has packed the Marcel Library with books and papers documenting extraterrestrial phenomena. Every Tuesday evening, he has hosted meetings of those interested in learning more. Through the library and the Crop Circle Foundation, Inc., he has raised money for research and to build awareness.
Here are five things to know about the recent UFO news.
An intelligence report is coming
A report on UFO sightings expected to be released next month could be, well, out of this world.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the secretary of Defense are set to deliver an unclassified report to Congress, which was commissioned by a provision in the coronavirus relief package then-President Trump
The report will likely include information about how the government plans to investigate situations in which UFOs are spotted and how data from such encounters is analyzed. It will also outline who is responsible for gathering and analyzing data on UFOs, including specific agencies, personnel and systems.
