The NFL season is still four months away, but Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf will be back at work by the end of the week. Football, however, won t be top of his agenda on Sunday, when the 23-year-old is going to attempt to qualify for the Olympic Trials.
Last season, Metcalf became an internet sensation when he sprinted over 100 yards to chase down Budda Baker and deny the Arizona Cardinals safety what looked to be a certain pick six. Following his exploit, USA Track and Field invited the Seahawks wideout to test himself against real speed.

DK Metcalf could really qualify for the 100M Olympic Trials Published: May 04, 2021 at 04:36 PM Copied!
The day after his legendary chase-down play, DK Metcalf received a lighthearted Twitter invitation to join the USA Track and Field team.
He s now on the precipice of calling an Olympics-sized bluff.
According to NBC Sports, the Seahawks receiver plans to be one of 16 competitors running the the 100-meter dash at USATF s Golden Games and Distance Open, a precursor to Olympic Trials.
The event will take place on Sunday in Walnut, California. And judging by Metcalf s own Twitter account, he views his entry as anything but a joke.

Perhaps the most shocking thing about the 2021 Dallas Cowboys Draft is that they used all of their draft picks, including the extra one that they picked up during their trade in the first round. There are 11 new players on this football team.
Of the incoming rookie class there are only three players who line up on offense, and among them, only a single one who is not a lineman. The Cowboys didn’t exactly have a glaring need at any skill position, but that didn’t stop them from drafting Stanford’s Simi Fehoko.
Micah Parsons adds elite athleticism and run stopping ability to the Cowboys linebacker position
The Cowboys defense could be seeing quite the change in Micah Parsons.
To the shock and awe of many the Dallas Cowboys stayed true to their word and focused heavily on upgrading the defense with nearly all of their draft picks in the 2021 NFL Draft. With a total of 11 draft picks, after making a first-round trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, all but three of those were used to hopefully upgrade the defense.
Highlighting the Dallas Cowboys 2021 rookie draft class is former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons. Parsons was arguably considered the best defensive player in the entire draft class and someone who has a chance to make an early impact with the Cowboys from the get-go.
