A 30-year-old woman, Mrs Joy Ihunwo, who was allegedly brutalised by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Rivers State Police Command, has said she lost her pregnancy after the incident and is calling for justice to be served.
The woman was arrested alongside her husband, who is the head of a vigilante group in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt following a petition against him over alleged illegal activities by his group.
Joy, while speaking to our correspondent in Port Harcourt on Sunday, said she had gone for a pelvic scan at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital and the results showed that she had lost the pregnancy.

A Chief Magistrate sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Monday, remanded a security worker with the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Mgbechi Wekwa, for sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.
The 45-year-old suspect was said to have organised some boys to abduct the victim at gunpoint from Aluu in the Ikwerre Local Government Area to Rumuakwunde in the Emohua LGA of the state, where he allegedly serially abused her.

A widow, Mrs Kindness Edwin, has accused a security guard at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education of kidnapping and defiling her 16-year-old daughter in Aluu, in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Edwin alleged that the 60-year-old had been making marriage advances towards her, which she declined.
The widow said the suspect then abducted and raped her daughter.
She said, “He came to ask for my hand in marriage. When I saw his character, I declined. He said it’s either I marry him or he kills me.
