SPECIAL bicycles enabling clients at Haddington Day Centre to take in the sights of the town have been described as a great success. The Neilson Park Road day centre purchased a Vanraam OPair bicycle, which allows someone to pedal while a client can sit at the front in a seat. Caroline Scott, manager at the day centre, was delighted with the popularity of the new purchase, which cost about £8,500. The group began seeking funding sources at the end of last year and received money from Foundation Scotland, the Co-op Local Community Fund and specially arranged bingo nights.
