Views: Visits 20 Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a 30-year-old man identified as Johnson Samuel, for stabbing a 57-year-old to death at his residence. It was learnt that the suspect stabbed the victim after he suspected that the deceased was having an illicit affair with his wife. Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson of the state police command, while confirming the arrest, said the suspect, a resident of Bandasarga village, Ganye Local Government Area, returned home on Sunday, April 4 around 11 pm and met the victim, Yaji Lawal, in his house. Irked by the suspicion that the man was having an affair with his wife, the man picked up a knife and stabbed the deceased.

Two electricity staff nabbed for allegedly stealing cables in Adamawa

Daily Post Nigeria Published Two residents of Adamawa State have been arrested for allegedly vandalizing an electricity line and stealing some of the cables. The Adamawa State Police Command which effected the arrest, said it recovered some armoured cables and a Toyota Corolla car from the suspects. The command in a statement obtained on Sunday morning from the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, said operatives of the Command attached to Yoia Division, “While on Area patrol along Rugange – Njoboliyo road, arrested two notorious vandals.” Nguroje named the suspects as Idi Wakil, 62 years, and Babangida Bello, 54 years, both residents of Madumari ward in Yola South Local Government Area.

According to a Press Statement released Tuesday by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Suleiman Nguroje, the items were recovered in 2016 and 2017. Nguroje stated, “The Adamawa State Police Command wishes to inform members of the general public that the unclaimed properties recovered by the Command’s police operatives attached to the State CID during investigations sometimes in 2016 and 2017 respectively are still unclaimed. “The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, calls on members of the public particularly those whose vehicles/motorcycles were stolen then, to report to police headquarters (CID) with original proofs of ownership to identify and claim accordingly.”
