A man entered the TD Bank branch on Upper Silver Lake Road and attempted to cash a fraudulent check. By the time police arrived, the man was no longer at the bank. The investigation remains ongoing.

A resident contacted police after they received an unemployment debit card in the mail from the state of Ohio. The resident reported the fraud to the Federal Trade Commission and to Ohio s unemployment department.
Police responded to Dogs & Cats Rule on West Road for a reported scam theft, with the total value of loss at $19. The investigation is ongoing.

Men allegedly stole mail from 200 victims
Two men have been charged for allegedly stealing mail from victims in multiple cities across southeastern Michigan over the past year, according to the U.S. Attorney s Office Eastern District of Michigan. Justin Lohman, 35, and Justin Cutshaw, 34, both of Redford Township, were charged in the ongoing scheme that also included bank fraud.
