Colin de Grandhomme will be a continuing absence from the Blackcaps this summer, with the allrounder ruled out of the upcoming test series against Pakistan.
The 24-test veteran missed the 2-0 clean sweep of the West Indies with a right foot complaint that is still lingering.
Coach Gary Stead says a full recovery still seems a while away for the hard-hitting right-hander. He has a stress reaction in his right foot, reveals Stead. We still haven t been able to get him back to running and then obviously bowling as well.

WELLINGTON: Veteran New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has been dropped for the Twenty20 International series against Pakistan, while Kane Williamson and Trent Boult have been recalled after they were rested for last month’s series against West Indies.
Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway, who featured in a Twenty20 International world record 181 partnership for the third wicket against the West Indies last month, have retained their places in the side leaving no room for the 36-year-old Taylor, selector Gavin Larsen said in a statement on Saturday.
“This was, as you’d imagine, a very tough decision as Ross has been a consistent performer for us,” Larsen said. “But unfortunately we just couldn’t find room in the squad for him due to the quality and form of the other batsmen.”
