The Organic Stores: Eco-friendly shop opens in Mold

A NEW food store with organic and environmentally friendly practice at its heart has opened in Mold. The Organic Stores has moved from its former Sealand Road base to a new home on Oaktree Business Park on Queens Lane. The store s produce is 100 per cent organic, and offers fresh veg, meats, fish, fruit and nuts. This is as well as spreads jams and sugars, dairy, yogurts and milks and juices and sodas. Mold Market returns and is expected to be busy

MOLD market traders returned to the high street on Wednesday. As well as the main market on the High Street, stalls will also be on Daniel Owen Square and Meadow Place car park to space them out. Easter bunny delivers 1,600 free eggs to children across Mold

OVER 1,500 chocolate eggs were delivered by the Easter bunny to children across Mold. In preparation for Easter, Mold Town Council contacted the Easter Bunny to ask if he would like to visit Mold to help deliver Easter eggs to the town s children. And the Easter Bunny confirmed he was very egg-cited to be invited once again this year. On Good Friday, the Easter Bunny, assisted by mayor of Mold, Cllr Teresa Carberry, deputy mayor, Cllr Sarah Taylor, Cllr Trevor Arnold and Cllr Tim Maunders, delivered over 1600 free Easter eggs to the town s younger residents, care homes and staff at Mold Community Hospital.

Mold Community Award winners announced

Mold Town Council held its first virtual Community Awards evening on March 25. Mayor of Mold, Councillor Teresa Carberry, said: “This year Mold Town Council received over 150 nominations with 55 groups, businesses and individuals nominated. We often hear people say how difficult it is to pick the winners – but believe me it really was. It was inspirational to hear how people had worked in creative and multi-various ways to help others. Quite simply, the nominees saw a local need and stepped in to fill it – they have combined compassion with pragmatism and many of us owe them a debt of gratitude. Everyone nominated has enriched the lives of our community, by their actions.
