JAMMU, Feb 16: BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina today said that his party is committed to retrieve world famous Sharda Shrine in Muzaffarabad which is under the forcible occupation of Pakistan.
Addressing a Yuva Jodo Sankalp Abhiyan of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at party headquarters here, today Raina said the Sharda Mata is presiding deity of Hindus and it is under forcible occupation of Pakistan due to the blunder of the then Congress Government led by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who declared unilateral ceasefire when Pak raiders were on retreat.
He said it is the commitment of the nation through Joint Parliamentary resolution of 1994 to liberate PoJK from Pakistan and BJP will take this campaign to logical conclusion. He said today is Basant Panchmi which is the Manifestation Day of Maa Sharda, the Goddess of knowledge.
