Neil Gaiman has finally revealed the primary cast for Netflix s upcoming adaptation of
The Sandman. Produced by Warner Bros. Television and executive produced by Gaiman, the show, based on the graphic novel series published by DC, stars Tom Sturridge as Dream (aka Morpheus), ruler of the ethereal realm known as The Dreaming.
Game of Thrones alumni Gwendoline Christie and Charles Dance are also part of the series. While Christie plays Lucifer Morningstar, Dance will portray occultist Roderick Burgess.

The Sandman follows “the adventures of Morpheus, lord of dreams and member of a pantheon of immortal beings called The Endless who personify certain universal concepts that, along with dream, includes death, desire, destiny, delirium, despair, and destruction.”

Tom Sturridge and Gwendoline Christie will star in a TV adaptation of popular comic book series The Sandman.
Sturridge will tackle the lead role of Morpheus, also known as Dream, with Christie playing Lucifer.
The project will reunite Christie with fellow Game of Thrones castmember Charles Dance, who has been tapped as blackmailer and magician Roderick Burgess, while Logan s Boyd Holbrook will play The Corinthian.
Vivienne Acheampong, Asim Chaudhry, and Sanjeev Bhaskar are also part of the line-up for the Netflix series, which follows the adventures of Morpheus, who rules over the world of dreams.
The Sandman creator Neil Gaiman co-wrote the show with filmmaker and The Dark Knight trilogy screenwriter David S. Goyer and Wonder Woman s Allan Heinberg. The trio will also serve as executive producers, with Heinberg taking on the additional role of showrunner.
