Three persons from tea tribe community clear APSC examination
Bikrom Chasha, Dipawoli Kurmi and Masi Topno cleared Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examination. Three of them secured 24th, 35th and 98th rank respectively.

Guwahati: A proud moment for the tea community of the state, as three persons from Lakwa s tea community cleared the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) examination. Lakwa is an area in Charaideo district. The three persons who have secured ranks in APSC examinations is Bikrom Chasha, Dipawoli Kurmi and Masi Topno. The results of the examination were declared on December 24, 2020. Bikrom Chasha secured 24th rank, Dipawoli Kurmi secured 35th rank and Masi Topno secured 98th position.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced that a multi-model logistics park will be constructed in Silchar and the Balacherra-Harengajao section of the Silchar-Saurashtra Highway will be completed in March 2022. According to a press statement, Gadkari made this announcement at a public meeting at Zero Point on the East-West Corridor at Madhurmukh at Rangpur here on Friday. It is pertinent to mention that the Union Minister unveiled a 13-foot tall bronze statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In response to the request made by Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister Gadkari said that the logistics park will be constructed in Silchar and construction works of East-West Corridor would be expedited and two new bridges would come up over the Barak river.

Gauhati: A historic decision in the medical field of the state, as the promotion for faculties (IMC norms qualified) in all the medical colleges of Assam have been approved. The promotion is fixed for all the faculties who are qualified according to the IMC norms even if there are no vacancies.

Guwahati: The Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal said that the Assam government is on its mission to make an Atmanirbhar Assam based on the balanced cooperation between hard labour, technology and skills.
CM Sonowal said that with the help of the people from all sections of the society, the state government has been trying to make the state a hotspot in the South East Asian countries. The state could capture the markets of the Association of South-East Asia Nations (ASEAN) and Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal (BBN Countries) with adequate focus on agriculture and its allied sectors.
