Himanta Biswa Sarma to take oath as Assam s 15th CM today
Sarma will be administered the oath of office by the Governor on Monday at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra at 12 noon.

The BJP s lead strategist in northeastern states and senior leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was on Sunday elected as the leader of the newly-elected MLAs of the party, will take charge as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam on Monday.
Governor Jagdish Mukhi invited him to be sworn in after Sarma met him Sunday. Sarma will be administered the oath of office by the Governor on Monday at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra at 12 noon.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the charioteer of BJP s stride in the Northeast, is now the brightest star in the political spectrum in the city of eastern lights. The 52-year-old leader is all set to swear in as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam on Monday.
Sarma was elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party in Assam on Sunday. He will replace Sarbananda Sonowal, who tendered his resignation as Assam Chief Minister to Governor Jagadish Mukhi on Sunday.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam on Monday, replacing former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Sarma, who was the charioteer of Bharatiya Janta Party s stride in the Northeast was administered the oath in presence of state Governor Jagdish Mukhi, the BJP national President JP Nadda and other leaders.
Sarma, clad in traditional pat silk dhoti and kurta with a muga gamosa draped around his neck, took the oath of office and secrecy in Assamese.
Along with him, 14 legislators were also sworn-in as ministers amid strict COVID-19 protocols.
