Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) efforts to revive the domestic structure of Pakistan are proving to be fruitful as the latest edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy brought forward some exciting cricket over the past couple of months.
The action came to a close yesterday with a dramatic final between Central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Despite heroic innings from captain Hasan Ali, Central Punjab was unable to defeat KP as the match ended in a tie when Waqas Maqsood got out with just one run remaining.

Shan Masood and Naseem Shah did not live up to expectations on tour of New Zealand.
Pakistan team management has recommended that supremely out-of-form opener Shan Masood, young pacer Naseem Shah and wicketless spinner Zafar Gohar be dropped for the upcoming home series against South Africa.
Masood scored just 10 runs in his four innings of two Tests against New Zealand, whereas Shah, for once, looked out of depth at the top level, picking up just four wickets in the series Pakistan lost 2-0.

Pakistan wrapped up the New Zealand tour with two straight Test losses in the two-match series against the hosts and there was a lot that the visitors could have done to avoid the humiliation.
