Roark Family Health offering COVID tests Roark Family Health will be partnering with Nextgen Diagnostics to provide free COVID Testing clinics every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting on Feb. 5. These tests will be completed in the clinic’s south parking lot (concrete parking lot) in the numbered parking spots. The only items people need to bring are a driver’s license and insurance card if available. These are free of charge even with no insurance or if insurance doesn’t cover the test. This is the nasal PCR test, so generally takes about 48 hours to receive results. For questions, people may call Nextgen at 417-362-NEXT. This is open to all patients, with no clinic membership needed, to test for symptoms, test out of quarantine, test before leaving the state, weekly testing for business staff, etc., regardless of symptoms. Veterans Taskforce of America to meet The Veterans Taskforce of America, Inc. will be meeting at the Angus Branch Steakhouse in Monett on Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. All honorably discharged men, women, war time or peacetime are welcomed. Property, business assessments mailed out Sherry L. Smith, Barry County Assessor; has announced that the 2021 Personal Property and Business Assessment lists were mailed out on Jan. 4. Those who received an assessment list but have not yet either filed online using the “Online Filing Pin Number” displayed on the list, or filled it out and returned it by mail or in person should do so immediately to avoid a late assessment penalty. Cassville High School returning to full seated classes Beginning Jan. 5, Cassville High School will be returning to a five-day-per-week seated student attendance schedule. As a result of the recent adjustments by the Centers for Disease Control and the modified quarantine guidance from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as well as the Barry County Health Department, district administrators said they believe this provides the school great options to keep staff and students safe while also offering in-person learning. In order to maintain full five-day-per-week seated attendance, the masking requirement for staff and students will remain in place. Central Crossing Senior Center Closed for Holidays
