CLEVELAND, Ohio – Mayor Frank Jackson on Thursday announced the appointment of Martin Keane as the director of Cleveland’s Department of Public Utilities.
Keane, a former city councilman from the West Side, most recently was the assistant director of the department. He replaces Robert Davis, who resigned the post earlier this month.

Former Warren Utilities Director Robert Davis recently was hired to be president of Aqua Ohio water and wastewater utility.
Davis recently held the position of director of the public utilities for the city of Cleveland, where he was responsible for Cleveland Water, Cleveland Water Pollution Control and Cleveland Public Power.
He is replacing Ed Kolodziejas, who is retiring on Feb. 12 after 10 years of service.
In his new position, Davis will lead operations and administration for Aqua Ohio’s 33 water and five wastewater treatment facilities, which serve approximately 500,000 residents.

Essential Utilities Inc. (NYSE: WTRG) announced today that Robert Davis will succeed Ed Kolodziej as president of the company’s Aqua Ohio water and wastewater utility. Davis most recently served as director of public utilities for the City of Cleveland, where he was responsible for Cleveland Water, Cleveland Water Pollution Control and Cleveland Public Power. Kolodziej will retire from Aqua Ohio effective Feb. 12 after 10 years of service.

NORTH LIMA Motorists can expect to see work on Market Street in Beaver Township as crews begin to replace a stretch of water main.
It is the primary supply through Boardman and Beaver townships.
Stretching from Western Reserve Road to the Ohio Turnpike, nearly 6,000 feet of water main will be replaced, according to Aqua Ohio. The new main will improve the utility, which services 60,000 people in Mahoning County.
The $800,000 project began Thursday as crews from Wilson Excavating and Grading, Inc. from New Wilmington, Pa., dug to mark undergound utilities.
The work continues from last year when 2,700 feet of main was replaced near Market Street and Western Reserve Road.
