Tony Covington, State’s Attorney for Charles County, announced that on Thursday, June 3, 2021, a Charles County jury, after a 7-day trial and less than a day of deliberation, convicted Marc Christopher Brown, Jr., 28, of Home Invasion, First-Degree Burglary, Kidnapping, and related charges.
The competition, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, will be held at Christ Church, 112 Charles Street in La Plata, MD. This year’s seven contestants will perform a recital before a distinguished panel of judges.
(WSSC Water) WSSC Water Commissioners today approved an 18-year contract with Washington Gas (WGL) for the construction and installation of approximately 900 feet of natural gas pipeline and related infrastructure to supply natural gas to, and convey renewable natural gas from WSSC Water’s Piscataway Bioenergy facility in Accokeek, Maryland in Prince George’s County.
Washington Gas, a regulated utility that serves more than 1.2 million customers across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, will seek the Maryland Public Service Commission’s approval of the project this summer. Once approved, construction of Washington Gas’ infrastructure is expected to begin in spring 2022.
