Laurel Lindstrom tribute planned
Disposal passes available April 15
ENNA to honor founder
Laurel Lindstrom, founder and longtime president of the East Norwalk Neighborhood Association (ENNA) will be honored during the group’s monthly Zoom meeting on Monday April 19., according to a press release.
Before founding ENNA, two term Common Council member Lindstrom had previously launched other civic groups in the area between L.I. Sound and Westport Avenue. ENNA was incorporated in 2003. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose stated mission is “to preserve and enhance the natural and historic assets and quality of life in East Norwalk”.

NORTHAMPTON An anonymous donor has put up $50,000 to save St. John Cantius Church and the similarly endangered St. Mary’s Church on the other side of downtown.
Northampton City Councilor Jim Nash announced the proposed donation Tuesday during a meeting of the Northampton Central Business Architecture Committee, which was discussing O’Connell Development Group’s proposal to demolish St. John Cantius and build condominiums in its place.

The downtown arts scene has a brand-new addition to its outdoor collection â a 10-mural display featuring the colorful, sport-themed works of the late LeRoy Neiman. The murals, which are free to view and open to the public, are displayed on the
exterior walls of Weidner Field along Sahwatch Street, between Cimarron Street and Moreno Avenue. They depict scenes from various moments in Olympic history, each showcasing the colorful, impressionistic style that made Neiman a household name throughout his career.

The controversial twin-tower Television City plan is in reset mode, according to downtown councillor Jason Farr.
Farr said he posed questions to the city s planning staff recently after hearing people who bought a spot in the two 32-storey towers at the CHCH-TV property in Durand were getting refunds. What they shared with my office [on Monday] was Television City has recently told them they re not planning on cancelling the project. But they told our staff they re in a reset mode, Farr said in a phone interview on Tuesday.
