Breaking News | Akwa Ibom State University Receives N327m Monthly Allocation — Governor

Emmanuel Udom of Cross River Gov. Udom Emmanuel has said that his administration was giving N327 million monthly allocation to Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state. Emmanuel disclosed this during an interactive media programme titled; “The Governor Speaks’’, in Uyo, the state capital on Saturday. “I give Akwa Ibom State University N327 million every month as grant. Also, going by the figures I have, lecturers in AKSU receive the highest salaries anywhere in the country. “For sustainability, I decided that we align with the National Universities Commission’s (NUC) salary scale applicable everywhere in the country, that is the crux of the disagreement,’’ Emmanuel said.

Police commission to prosecute indicted officers two years after 2019 elections

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promised to prosecute officers indicted for offenses during the 2019 general elections. The commission has resolved to officially write to the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba on the matter. The PSC gave the hint at a meeting with some non-governmental organizations on the last national polls. Chairman of the PSC Fact Finding Team on 2019 Elections, Justice Clara Bata Ogunbiyi, announced that the commission was working to improve the safety of electoral processes. EFCC arrests siblings in Lagos for internet fraud

Operatives nabbed the duo after credible intelligence received by the commission indicted them for computer-related fraud and online dating scam. Queen confessed to the crime. The Banking and Finance graduate confirmed involvement in online dating and that she made money from the crime. The suspect further disclosed how she helped her brothers, including one Prince Kalu (at large), to speak to their male victims and defraud them. A Mercedes Benz car and mobile devices were recovered from the siblings. They will be charged to court after investigation.
